I launched my first collection, Dreamscapes: Synchronicity, in 2019 in New York City. It was a quadriptych—a set of four large abstract, somewhat surrealistic, canvases representing my unexpected journey from finance to art. With swirling clouds, soaring birds and shards of glass, the paintings depicted my rebellion against the many obstacles I faced as a new and unconventional artist—all sorts of rules, stereotypes, and boundaries, including even space and time.
Fast forward to 2022, a mere three years since my first public exhibition but what feels like an eternity since then, I had this incredible opportunity in May to reach thousands of people by showcasing a digital, animated version of the Synchronicity series on the towering American Eagle billboards in Times Square. The Dreamscapes birds soared in New York City, the center of the universe, for the whole world to see!
But their journey did not end there. Times Square was just the beginning. I realized that through my Dreamscapes NFTs, I could reach more people, speak to a larger audience, create a more inclusive community that shared my values, and together have a more profound impact in the world. I had the privilege of working with a team who shared the same creative vision and social purpose…from Miami to Mallorca, from Mexico City to Manhattan, from Manila into the Metaverse. Backed by such an accomplished and dedicated team, we produced my very first NFT.
Painstakingly detailed and meticulously crafted, this NFT collection is not only visually stunning but, at its core, socially relevant, meaningful and significant. Together with the Philippine Eagle Foundation (PEF), the collection will help tell the amazing story of the Philippine Eagle—the largest eagle in the world, but sadly one of the most critically endangered of its kind. Through the Dreamscapes Synchronicity NFT, we hope to forge a robust alliance between the PEF, their communities, and our supporters to raise awareness, promote fundraising and stewardship, and be standard bearers for the foundation’s noble vision and unique mission of saving one of the most majestic creatures on this planet.
